Covid Update

Keeping everyone safe at The Dress House

After a very strange few months, we are re-opening our lovely little boutique on Monday 15th June. We are very serious about keeping everyone safe, so please take a read of the guidelines below before booking or coming for your appointment. This is all pretty new to us too, so please bear with us.

Appointments
As we are having to offer less appointments to give the boutique a thorough clean in between these, please only book if you are seriously looking for your dream dress. New brides-to-be are welcome to bring along one adult guest and we are limiting fittings to the bride only. We can still have plenty of fun and you are more than welcome to get all of your party involved by using Zoom, Houseparty, Facetime etc (and we have free WiFi).

Entering the Boutique
Please arrive on time for your appointment and take a quick read of the safety sheet on the table in the entrance. Please use the hand sanitiser provided. We will be wearing masks throughout the appointment and we ask that you either bring your own, or we will be providing these at the entrance also. This is just to ensure that we try and keep you all as safe as we possibly can.

During the Appointment
We will still be offering our girls a glass of bubbles but in disposable cups. We would be SO grateful if you could pop your glasses in the bin before you leave. If the bride and her guest doesn’t live with each other, could please stick to the 2m rule (boring we know, but again, it’s just for everyone’s safety). All of the dresses are on the website, so it might be worth taking a look before you come in and making a note of any gowns you like the look of. We are more than happy with you walking around and taking a look at the dresses, but we’d be grateful if you would allow us to pull these out to show you. We are just trying to limit the amount of touching. If the bride would rather step into the gowns on her own and then we do the dresses up to limit contact (or her guest), then that’s absolutely fine.

If you have recently arrived from abroad, feeling unwell or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms over the past couple of weeks, please don’t come along on the day. Just give us a call and we can re-book you in. We know that it might all sound pretty unusual for a bridal appointment, but these are guidelines set by the government and the BBSA (British Bridal Suppliers Association).

All appointments have exclusive use of the boutique, so it'll only be you and one guest at your appointment.
